Terms and Conditions

Why Clicking "I Agree" May No Longer Mean You Agree to Everything ...

The terms and conditions below apply to all services provided by Calont, to any individual (“the client”) and constitute the contract for the service to be provided by Calont for the client. The term ‘consulting’ as here used covers providing guidance and coaching for clients and where applicable includes mentoring or supervision services provided for clients, or others. Coaching is not psychological counselling or any type of therapy, and should not be construed as such.
The date of purchase of any service provided by Calont shall be deemed to be the start date for the service. Where any client is unhappy with any of the terms and conditions they can contact Calont to discuss any concerns and see if they can be resolved before the first appointment or any other service. Participation by any individual in the first appointment session constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Responsibility & Commitment

Calont will seek to enable the client to set and achieve goals that will help to bring about desired outcomes for the client. The information that will be provided during the appointment session will be a viewpoint of Calont based on experience and Calont will not be held liable for the information. The client has sole responsibility for any decisions they may make, following consultation appointment with Calont.
Calont accepts no liability for the client’s actions and has no liability for any loss incurred by any client, whether financial or otherwise, following commencement of appointment sessions for any perceived failure by the client, whether justified or otherwise, to achieve a material improvement in the quality of life or to achieve their desired outcomes or goals.

Clarity & Style

Calont’s consultant will discuss with the client their preferred style during an appointment.  The client has the right to talk openly and candidly, and the client is encouraged to discuss any concerns they have with Calont in any area of the process.
Calont welcomes openness and honesty. Feedback about the service is welcomed and can be given during an appointment or by writing to the consultant representing Calont.
Calont is continually striving to ensure the standard of service it provides to its clients remains outstanding. At the end of the appointment, or series of appointment sessions, the client is encouraged to provide feedback on social media.

Service Delivery

The service delivery will be online through voice calls and there is no commitment to provide any documentation in context to the appointment. The client, however, is free to take notes during the appointment. The client shall not share the information discussed during the appointment on the website as it will breach the privacy policy of Calont.
If required, the client can request for video call instead of voice call and the requirement can be met based on the consultant’s discretion.

Appointment Procedures

All appointments are approximately 60-minutes long and are conducted by WhatsApp voice call. The Client agrees to call the Calont’s consultant at an agreed-upon number which will be provided in the email post-booking. The Calont’s Consultant and Client commit to start and finish each session on time. If the Client is more than 10 minutes late for the appointment, the Calont’s Consultant will assume the session is cancelled and the Client will forfeit the session unless there is proof of an emergency.
Sessions that go over the scheduled amount of time may be billed separately if it is over 10 minutes.

All information provided to Calont by the client during a consultation appointment will be treated as confidential. It will not be disclosed to a third party without the client’s prior permission, save where required by law.
All documentation and information relating to the client will be held according to the Privacy Act. The Privacy Act offers protections for personal information, which it defines as any recorded information “about an identifiable individual.”

The client agrees to pay fees for the service on the terms and conditions (in situations where a third party pays the fees, the third party counts as an agent acting on behalf of the client).

Cancellation & Reschedule Appointment

If the client needs to rearrange an appointment, they should provide at least 7 days’ notice. No refunds will be given to clients for unused appointment slots unless 7 days’ notice has been given. In exceptional circumstances Calont may need to rearrange the appointment; in these circumstances, Calont will use reasonable endeavours to provide a mutually satisfactory alternative appointment with the client.
In exceptional circumstances, such as illness or unavailability due to bereavement or other commitments, inappropriate behaviour by the client, actual or potential conflict of interest, or other reasons, Calont can decide to terminate the service to the client early or refuse or be unable to provide further appointment slots to the client.
There may be occasions when Calont may recommend to the client that they seek an alternative service more suited to their current needs.  In this event, Calont will fully discuss the reasons for the recommendation with the client.  It is the client’s sole responsibility to decide whether to follow the recommendation and Calont does not accept any liability for the outcome of any decisions the client chooses to make.
